ROOM AT THE TABLE

COMMUNITY MEAL

The mission of Room at the Table is to serve a hot meal, seven days a week, year-round, to anyone who is hungry and to serve it with dignity and care. It is not a handout - it is a nightly gathering of friends that understand that hunger is a common bond and that believe there should always be room at the table for all.

Room at the Table began in June 2019 out of a conversation about how to serve people in the community struggling with food insecurity.

Room at the Table is a volunteer community meal, open 7 days a week, 365 days of the year.  We serve a hot meal to anyone who is hungry. It is a night of community, food, fellowship and friends. 

​

Room at the Table is not just about hunger - but about creating community. It's a nightly gathering of people from all walks of life, bonded together by the common need of food and connection.

We invite you to come sit around our table - We are glad that you are here!

Room at the Table is
serving a to-go meal on
Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 5:30 pm.

We are currently located at
602 Veterans Drive in Florence
(this is located one block away from the Florence Coliseum on the corner of Veterans Drive and Cherry Street)

We hope to get back to serving our nightly meal as soon as we are able to secure a location and once it is safe to gather in large groups again. 

Room at the Table is currently unable to operate because the City of Florence has denied us zoning for our location.
